As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for the daily operation in the kitchen and the preparation and cooking of all dishes with your team and be capable of following group menu specification. You must be responsible, dedicated and a strong leader with the ability to manage a brigade of chefs whilst ensuring all Health & Safety is compliant, cleanliness is maintained and food COS is achieved.
The ideal candidate will be able to train, support and develop their team professionally.
You must have excellent organisational skills, good time management skills and be able to adapt to business levels within the hotel to be a key HOD in part of this busy operation .
You will need at least one year’s experience working in a similar role and possess excellent food presentation skills. The ability to work under pressure is key, along with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. You must also be cost-conscious and know how to manage the right margins on payroll and food, ensuring the business is as profitable as possible. Experience of an online purchasing system is preferred.
