My client, a busy distributor of automotive parts is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join their team.
Duties will be to:
Maintain current suppliers with buyer visits as required, proactively research new potential suppliers around UK and Europe, communicate between the purchase team and senior management on a daily basis and be a point of contact for the business should any new/potential suppliers need any information or help.
You will also assist the marketing team with any purchase campaigns for social media, create purchase runs for the General buyers, assist and help maintain the businesses Key accounts and ensure constant communication with managers to understand any requirements as well as their purchase activity with purchase meetings.
You will be required to keep the SAP Database up to date and all information correct, work to weekly and monthly KPI's and follow up on any purchase leads that may arise from other parts of the business.
The right person for this role will ideally have previous experience in a similar role, possess excellent analytical skills and be a good problem solver. You will have strong IT skills, be a good communicator and possess excellent organisational skills. Some knowledge of automotive parts would be desirable. You will be enthusiastic, willing to go the extra mile and be able to work under pressure.
